Our Proud History

We are often asked why someone should buy from us when there are so many alternatives in the market place. A while back I opened my first restaurant in Clearwater Florida named "Boudreaux's Legendary New Orleans". It was a 7,000 square foot free standing location but I only had the budget of a 2,000 square foot location.  As many of you know the nervousness runs high on every purchase big or small and finding good deals is paramount. I scoured auctions and used equipment warehouses feeling like I was buying a used car and not buying from someone I could trust, I knew there must be a better way. It was far worse in the new equipment arena where price tags are in a calculator and not posted on the equipment. Finally, I got through it and opened on the tragic day 9/11/01. With the help of a great staff and community we succeeded beyond expectations considering the circumstances. After some time I decided to get ready to open another keeping in mind the lessons learned when purchasing equipment. My experiences working with John Smoltz's Peachtree and Walter Payton's Entertainment One also helped teach me that if the expense can't make money it better be needed and at a good deal. But when it comes to outfitting a restaurant how could I change the system of over priced equipment in favor to the restaurant owners? That is when I started theblenderplace.com and negotiated with the manufacturers to bring true wholesale prices to the consumer and cut out the over priced giants. After all, competition often lowers prices for everyone and my everyone was the hard working restaurant owners and managers.

Today we offer over 700 items and have generated millions in sales at the lowest prices possible. We aren't the equipment company that just reads the brochure but instead we have used the equipment and in many cases in our own restaurants. This separates us and hopefully helps gain the trust of the buyer that is unsure of what they need. I still enjoy answering the phones and speaking with a Chef , Manager, or Owner and knowing what they need. Not because of an incentive from the manufacturer but because I have been there, in the same shoes. I attend every restaurant show testing equipment, negotiating deals and making sure that we have touched and worked with as much equipment possible and then pass that information on to you.

So to answer the question of why someone should buy from us: low prices and a direction from the beginning that we are here for the people who work hard to offer services to their neighborhood, not the manufacturers.

I am proud to be in this industry and I hope that our company has helped put pricing back into the hands of the consumer.
