Blendtec Q-Series Smoother Review
Earlier this month I received the Blendtec Q-Series Smoother for our demo and review. My first impression of the Blendtec Q-Series Smoother was that it was going to be loud but to my surprise this might be the quietest sound enclosed blender on the market. It sounded smooth and powerful but barely a fraction of the noise from many other blenders with the same power. Knowing the Blendtec Q-Series Smoother is targeted to Smoothie shops I put it to the test preparing a myriad of fruit based recipes. I started the Blendtec Smoother on the easiest recipe first (ice, cream, fruit concentrate) and although it took some time to figure out what blend cycle was best, once I did I was impressed with how fast and creamy the finished product "stacked" in the glass. Second I took the Blendtec Q-Series Smoother to a more difficult recipe (ice, yogurt, fresh fruits) and had to do it a few times because at first I couldn't believe it was accomplishing the same blend time and same perfect consistency as the easier recipe - very impressive. Lastly I created the most difficult recipe a blender endures (yogurt, frozen fruits, splash of water) and like any blender it took some playing around with the ratio to get it to create that "vortex" but unlike 99% of the blenders I run this test on the Blendtec Q-Series did create the vortex, it did blend, it did produce a perfect finished product – most struggle much more and need more water to achieve vortex if they ever do. I need to emphasis how impressive this is. Most blenders just can't handle frozen fruits and although it wasn't as easy as the other recipes - it did do it. This truly was a fun blender to demo and normally we send the demo units back but I may "forget" with this one. WOW
