Hamilton Beach 97500 - 97510 - Vita-Mix 1410 Product Review

I have used the Hamilton Beach 97500 as well as the Vita-Mix 1410 and here I will try to offer my opinions of what you might want to consider before purchasing. The Hamilton Beach 97500 and 97510 are very standard in the industry for use in three or four compartment sinks located behind the bar. There is really only one major difference in the models; the Hamilton Beach 97500 has an "above the water line" motor and the Hamilton Beach 97510 allows for the motor to be submerged. Other than that, the models work identically spinning the outer four brushes while the center brush stays secure. Don't just think of the 97500 or the 97510 as bar glass washers as they serve a much more important role to the efficiency of your bar. Even if you use a commercial automatic washer for your glasses there are items that need to be cleaned after every use such as shake tins, mixing glasses or muddling bowls. The Hamilton Beach 97500 and 97510 allow your bartenders to keep a cleaner more efficient work space in addition to being able to sanitize glassware. 

The Vita-Mix 1410 is a nice item to have and if speed is an issue it is a must have accessory. The Vita-Mix 1410 fits any standard faucet and allows for the user to simply turn the used container upside down over the 1410 and with light pressure a very powerful jet of water rinses the container. I have not owned one but seen this used at trade shows many times where the staff is mixing multiple flavor samples in their blender and needing to quickly rinse the containers to keep up with demand. I have heard people say that it is easier to buy multiple containers and this may be true, but to what extent? A container costs over $100.00 and the 1410 is not much more. If you have the budget and either are a smoothie shop or coffee shop that needs speed on your side, the Vita-Mix 1410 is a nice tool to have.
